Grand Junction, CO – Power-Pro's Max 8 braid was voted best of category at the ICAST Industry Awards last week in Orlando.
“The PowerPro team works tirelessly to engineer the industry’s best braided line, and we are excited to be recognized for the hard work and dedication that went into designing the new Max-8,” said Tom Woldruff, PowerPro Business Development Manager. “Max-8 is a significant performance upgrade for offshore anglers; whether they’re jigging wrecks or chasing pelagics offshore, we engineered Max-8 to perform as anglers push their gear to its limits.”
PowerPro Max-8 is built with 8-carrier Spectra HT fiber, allowing it to cut smoothly through water for ultra-precise vertical jigging, trolling, and casting. The new braided line from PowerPro is designed with Enhanced Body Technology (EBT), which uses infused resin in every fiber to make a rounder, smoother profile. This results in better castability, line handling, and abrasion resistance. Additionally, Max-8 is 25% thinner than similar lines, providing more capacity without losing strength.
