The DNR has nearly 60 tackle loaner sites across the state, about half of which are at state parks on water.

Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Check out the list of loaner sites to find one near you and learn more about what they offer. A current Wisconsin fishing license is required for anglers ages 16 and older to cast a line and create fishing fun.

We appreciate your help with the general maintenance of borrowed rods and reels. Fixing any tangles that may develop in the reel is one of the simplest ways to ensure that your borrowed rod is ready for the following user.
