PROTECTING THOSE WALLS

Inside and out, EGO’s 30-Liter Soft-Sided Cooler sports TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) fabric walls. Imagine a NAVY SEAL’s drybag. That sort of material. Feels a bit rubbery and durable, because it is.

TPU material is exceptionally resistant to abrasions and hydrolysis, too, thwarting cuts and scratches and defending against harsh weather and continued exposure to water. To that, TPU fabric is water and moisture-resistant, which also fights against bacterial growth.

THE TOP AND BOTTOM

We’ve already mentioned the extra-thick insulation under the lid and at the bottom of the inside, so let’s address the cooler’s exterior durability. Both the formed and zippered lid and hard molded base are constructed of ABS plastic. The exceptionally tough and durable material is impact and chemical resistant for longevity. Same stuff LEGOS are made from, and you know how long those building blocks last – generations.

The zippered ABS lid is textured on top and features two beverage holding insets, as well as a depressed tray for managing odds and ends on the go.

Uniquely, EGO incorporates the same ABS material in its base. Unlike most soft-sided coolers, which offer little or no protection at the base, EGO’s durable and waterproof ABS won’t fold, buckle, or crack. Nor will it absorb any fish goo or whatever grossness you happen to set it in.
