DAIWA also affixed a single, slender, and especially sharp hook with a micro-barb. “The purpose of the specialized barb is for quick releases without damaging the fish,” said Martin.

What fish? Martin says the PRESSO RAVE2 is purposed for trout, but also efficient on panfish. “Fishing for stocked trout in lakes and ponds is growing in popularity, and precision casting spoons offer a great alternative to soaking marshmallows or other stagnant baits. Plus, larger trout are more apt to hit a lure. It’s also a fun and interactive way to cast for crappies and aggressive bream.”

The PRESSO RAVE2 isn’t limited to motionless water, either. The puny powerhouse performs perfectly in trout infested rivers and streams as well, offering a prime option to inline spinners.
