Twin Vee PowerCats OK with Trade Tariffs

Twin Vee PowerCats which manufactures, distributes, and markets power sport boats, has added six new Twin Vee dealers to its network. This marks the first phase of its dealer network expansion, which is designed to further develop the company’s reach into new markets.

At the same time, company CEO and president Joseph Visconti is welcoming the trade tariffs. He believes trade tariffs are an incredibly positive and necessary tool for strengthening American manufacturing and securing the long-term economic health of the United States of America. While some short-term adjustments may be required, the long-term benefits far outweigh the temporary challenges.

“For too long, unfair trade practices, foreign government subsidies, and artificially low labor costs have put American manufacturers at a disadvantage,” says Visconti.

“These tariffs level the playing field, ensuring that US companies can compete fairly without being undercut by artificially cheap imports. They protect American jobs, boost domestic investment, and drive technological innovation by keeping production within our borders.

“A strong domestic manufacturing sector is essential for economic independence, national security, and long-term prosperity. By supporting tariffs, we are ensuring that American workers and businesses remain the backbone of our economy, rather than becoming dependent on foreign supply chains that do not have our nation’s best interests at heart.

“We strongly support all tariffs placed on foreign competitors to ensure fair competition. America’s long-term economic health must be our top priority, and tariffs are a powerful tool to protect our industries, safeguard American innovation, and secure a thriving future for generations to come.”

Meanwhile, Twin Vee’s expansion effort comes at a time when the company says it is experiencing a healthy demand for its boats through new sales, and a significant reduction in field inventory.

Visconti says that the current Twin Vee dealer field inventory is at an all-time low, and has been for the past 18 months. “There are about 60 boats in the field, a significant decrease from over 160 units annually in the previous year, with customers purchasing boats from our dealers.

Twin Vee dealer expansion across USA

“As a result of our dealer expansion efforts, deliveries of boats are expected to increase more than 50 per cent in the first quarter of 2025 versus the number of boats we delivered in the fourth quarter of 2024, representing what we anticipate being the first sequential increase in revenue in quite a while. We also anticipate further gains throughout the year.”

Dealerships coming onboard at this time are: NuWave Marine (Woodbury Heights, NJ), NuWave Marine (Wildwood, NJ), Boater’s World (Lake Placid, FL), Boater’s World (Bradenton, FL), Patchogue Shores Marina (Long Island, NY) and the awesomely named . . . Goose Hummock (Cape Cod, MA).

“We are thrilled to welcome our newest dealers to our growing Twin Vee family,” says Visconti. “Our new dealers will represent our stellar products and convey our company’s customer-centric mission to their communities. Their dedication to customer service and deep understanding of the boating industry will be invaluable as we continue to expand our reach and deliver the ‘best riding boats in the water’ to enthusiasts, fishers, and families across the country.”

The company is already working on signing a second wave of new dealers.

“This strategic dealer expansion is central to our goal of making Twin Vee accessible to a wider audience. By partnering with experienced and passionate dealers, we’re making it possible for customers to receive top-notch service and expertise from the moment they consider one of our products.

“Our team is carefully selecting dealerships that share our customer-centric values and understand the unique benefits of boats, allowing us to build strong, lasting relationships within these new communities and the recreational boating market as a whole.”

Just last month, Twin Vee PowerCats, announced an ‘aggressive digital transformation strategy’ aimed at changing how boats are sold, purchased, traded and valued. The first step of that was transitioning all aspects of its boat sales marketplace to Twin Vee’s proprietary servers. The idea was that by bringing marketplace operations online, buyers and sellers gain full access over the data, user experience, and marketing insights necessary to help maximise and optimise the customer experience.

In November of 2024, the company reported a significant decline in third-quarter revenues. The firm saw revenues fall 64 per cent to $2.9 million in Q3 2024, down from $8.1 million in the same period last year.
