Miami, Florida – Floyd Skiff Co., a premier manufacturer of shallow-water fishing boats, has renewed its support of Bonefish & Tarpon Trust (BTT) as a Gold Partner.
Located in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Floyd Skiff Co. has generously donated a 6WT skiff in support of BTT’s 2025 Florida Boat Sweepstakes, which will raise funds for BTT’s conservation and water quality initiatives across the Sunshine State. The 6WT is the newest model from Floyd Skiff Co., which crafts lightweight technical poling skiffs that blend classic styling with modern construction, delivering timeless fishing machines designed to withstand the harshest wilderness conditions. The 16-foot 6WT drafts five to seven inches and comes paired with a powerful Yamaha F70 outboard motor as well as a Magic Tilt aluminum trailer.

The hand-built center-console Floyd 6WT is the epitome of fishing perfection, designed with precision for both novice and experienced anglers alike. Its design and features cater to those who seek both adventure and the tranquility of Florida’s waters. As part of the 2025 Florida Boat Sweepstakes promotion, the Floyd 6WT was displayed at ICAST in Orlando from July 15 -18.

With the creation of the new 6WT, Floyd Skiff Co. continues to lead the industry in custom technical poling skiff design and fabrication. Brian Floyd’s career in the boating industry spans 25 years, during which time he has worked in assembly, rigging, repair, service, warranty, quality control management, and service management for other leading boat companies. His journey led him in 2010 to the Florida Keys where he had the opportunity to manage Islamarine. This gave him the opportunity to work closely with fishing guides on a wide array of flats skiff. He applied this knowledge to create the first “10WT skiff” and to launch Floyd Skiff Co in 2019.
